The Jefferson Dragons won the last time they faced the Loganville Red Devils, and things went their way on Friday too. Jefferson blew past Loganville, posting a 56-20 victory on the road. The result was nothing new for Jefferson, who have now won three games by 36 points or more so far this season.
Jefferson was led to victory by Gavin Markey and Sammy Brown. Markey threw for 190 yards and three touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes, while Brown gained 161 total yards and four touchdowns. Brown's longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards. Jefferson also got help from Zay Minish who showed off his sure hands for 82 receiving yards.
Loganville's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Joseph Barnes, who rushed for 101 yards on only 14 carries, and also picked up 50 receiving yards. Those 101 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Barnes. Ahmed Souare was another key contributor, picking up 132 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Jefferson's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Loganville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season.
Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Loganville is also done with their season.
