On Tuesday, First Assembly Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Lausanne Collegiate, taking the game 63-51. Given First Assembly Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Lausanne Collegiate is ranked 160th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Evangelical Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Lausanne Collegiate two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 43-39 victory.
First Assembly Christian pushed their record up to 16-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Evangelical Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
First Assembly Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Evangelical Christian in their previous meeting on January 9th, sneaking past 64-61. The rematch might be a little tougher for First Assembly Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
