Meanwhile, while Selah put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Davis. The Vikings blew past the Pirates 27-0. The Vikings' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Hailey Christianson made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI.
In other batting news, Payton Brown was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aspin Grubenhoff, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
Selah always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .830. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Ephrata's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Selah, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
