After a string of five wins, the Colby Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They suffered a tough 73-50 loss at the hands of Beloit. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Colby has suffered yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Beloit to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bryce Beisner, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Gerstner, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Colby's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3. As for Beloit, they pushed their record up to 10-0 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Colby and Goodland will face off on January 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Goodland's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matchups. As for Beloit, Beloit and Sacred Heart will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Sacred Heart is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
