It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Edinburg Bobcats can now relate to. They were dealt a 42-0 defeat at the hands of Harlingen on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Edinburg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 835th, while Harlingen is ranked 395th).
Harlingen's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Shea Garza and his two sacks.
Edinburg's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Harlingen, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Edinburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Harlingen will square off against Harlan at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Harlan sitting on 11 straight victories and Harlingen on three.
