Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Delta Academy). They put the hurt on the North Panola Cougars with a sharp 12-5 win on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-3 on Monday.

The victory made it two in a row for Delta Academy and bumps their season record up to 2-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for North Panola, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Delta Academy will take on Calhoun Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
