Paulding has gone a perfect 4-0 against Edon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Panthers will square off against the Bombers at 5:00 p.m. Paulding will be strutting in after a victory while Edon will be coming in after a loss.
It was a proper cat-fight when Paulding took on Miller City on Monday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 10-3 win. Ten seems to be a good number for the Panthers as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Tia Mendez made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Mendez was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Civil Pumphrey was incredible, going 2-for-5 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. Madison Clark was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Edon lost 18-3 to Wauseon on Monday. The Bombers haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Madison Ogden was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Paulding pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 5 runs thus far. As for Edon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Everything went Paulding's way against Edon when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Paulding made off with a 20-2 victory. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Bombers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
