Emily Shelley and Destiny Aguilar did some serious damage despite the final result: Shelley went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple, while Aguilar scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Shelley has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Rorrie Mize was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases.
Meanwhile, Rancho posted their closest win since May 16, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Cimarron-Memorial 4-3. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Brooklynn Braun made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 16 over six innings pitched. Braun was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other batting news, Annalise Stout was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Layla Stout, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
