Millard South put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Lincoln High, posting a 65-0 win at home. Given Millard South's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked second, while Lincoln High is ranked 111th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Millard South's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jett Thomalla, who threw for 221 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Ean Langer, who rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Meanwhile, Lincoln North Star didn't have too much trouble with Columbus on the road on Friday as they won 38-20. The win was just what Lincoln North Star needed coming off of a 38-13 loss in their prior match.
Their wins bumped Millard South to 8-1 and Lincoln North Star to 5-4.
