Football Recap: Flowing Wells Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Flowing Wells's strategy against Nogales on Friday. The Caballeros' defense stepped up to hand the Apaches a 42-0 shutout. Considering the Caballeros have won five matchups by more than 39 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Jayden Simmons, who rushed for 132 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Benicio Ruiz, who rushed for 77 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries.

Flowing Wells pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.0 points on average over those games. As for Nogales, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
