Section 11 Division III recap Sept. 26, 2012
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Deer Park, who took down 355th ranked Deer Park, 28-13. Ade Nelson ran for 139 yards in the win.
The Falcons were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 12th to ninth in Section 11 Division III. Deer Park beat Deer Park 28-13 earlier in the week.
Bellport's dynamic duo of Matt Posch and Nick Constantino proved tough for Westhampton Beach to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Posch threw for 86 yards and one touchdown and Constantino had 76 yards receiving. Nate Chavious helped Bellport's passing attack out by catching one ball for seven yards.
Thanks to the talents of Ryan Keefe and Nelson Comsewogue has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Keefe leads the league in passing with 145 yards, while Nelson has rushed for 305 yards this season. The Clippers' Constantino leads the league in receiving yards with 76 on two catches.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Hurricanes take on Sayville. As it stands, Westhampton Beach is in fifth, while the Golden Flashes are in first.
Kings Park moved up to 231 from 328 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Kingsmen were able to make the jump by beating Rocky Point 48-20.
