The Mt. Healthy Fighting Owls's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 79-63 fall against Goshen. While losing is never fun, Mt. Healthy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 728th, while Goshen is ranked 151st).
Caden Zeinner continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Goshen, scoring 39 points. The contest was Zeinner's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Conner Moore, who scored 11 points.
Mt. Healthy's loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-5. As for Goshen, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Healthy will be home for the holidays to greet New Richmond at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully New Richmond focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. Goshen will be home for the holidays to greet Blanchester at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
