The Trinity Christian Trojans are taking a road trip to take on the Antonian Prep Apaches at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Having struggled with six losses in a row, Trinity Christian turned things around against Nolan Catholic on Friday. They blew past the Vikings, posting a 51-10 victory. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-3.

Trinity Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Davis Crumrine, who threw for 242 yards and four touchdowns on only 17 passes. The dominant performance also gave Crumrine a new career-high in passer rating (142.8). Chase Griffin was in the mix as well, providing Trinity Christian with two TDs.
Trinity Christian didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Nolan Catholic to a completion percentage of just 22.2%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from one players: Griffin, who each logged one passes deflected. Trinity Christian wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 65%.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Antonian Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They blew past Central Catholic 53-21 on Friday. The Apaches haven't had any issues with the Buttons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Trinity Christian better keep an eye on Topper Sterling. He was instrumental in Antonian Prep's win, rushing for 315 yards and five scores while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. They are undefeated when Sterling posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 2-4 otherwise. Rogan Parson also helped out as he racked up 111 rushing yards.
Trinity Christian's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 3-7. As for Antonian Prep, their record is now 6-4.
Trinity Christian was taken down by Antonian Prep 55-28 when the teams last played back in November of 2023. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
