The Crestview Cougars will take on the St. Paul Flyers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
Crestview is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Plymouth on Tuesday as they made off with an 11-1 victory.

Drew Spoerr made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kayn Patton was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2025. Brayden Parrigan was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Crestview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, St. Paul was able to grind out a solid win over Monroeville on Tuesday, taking the game 8-4.
Brady Fritz was incredible, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4. Those home runs marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Landon Fries, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Crestview's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for St. Paul, their win bumped their record up to 13-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Crestview has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like St. Paul struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Crestview got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against St. Paul by a conclusive 11-3 score. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Flyers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
