The Martinsville Pirates can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Apple Springs 75-45 on the road. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Martinsville had established a 28 point advantage.
Despite the loss, Apple Springs still got an impressive performance from Dakota Campbell, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Connor Kaufman, who scored five points along with five rebounds.
Martinsville is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. As for Apple Springs, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-11.
Martinsville will take on Slocum at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Martinsville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 212 points over their last three matches. As for Apple Springs, they will head out on the road to face off against Wells at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Wells' favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while Apple Springs has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
