This season hasn't been kind to The Webb School Feet, who are still winless after their ninth contest. They took a serious blow against Battle Ground Academy on Friday, falling 51-6.
Battle Ground Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaedyn Marable led the charge by throwing for 235 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Thompson, who picked up 107 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
The Webb School's loss was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-9. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 13-0 Friendship Christian and 8-1 Christ Presbyterian Academy (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 64.3% over those games). As for Battle Ground Academy, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
The Webb School will head out on the road to face off against Providence Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Providence Christian Academy is ranked 259th, while The Webb School is ranked 267th). As for Battle Ground Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Goodpasture Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
