Calvary Christian Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 11th straight defeat. They took a hard 51-37 fall against Chestertown Christian Academy. Calvary Christian Academy found out winning isn't easy when you're outrebounded 14 to 6 on offense.
Calvary Christian Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Sean Sensenig (HS), who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals, and Kyle Parks who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sensenig (HS) has scored all season.
Chestertown Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Craig Clark out in front who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and eight steals. It was the first time this season that Clark pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Lloyd, who scored 17 points along with three steals.
Calvary Christian Academy's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Chestertown Christian Academy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Calvary Christian Academy will head out on the road to challenge Salisbury Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Salisbury Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 303rd in Maryland, while Calvary Christian Academy is ranked 60th in Delaware). As for Chestertown Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Fairwinds Christian at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Fairwinds Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Friday.
