The Mount Morris Blue Devils waltzed into their matchup on Friday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They walked away with a 57-46 win over Letchworth. For Mount Morris, this counts as revenge for the 69-66 defeat the Indians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mount Morris to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anthony Hightower, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Hightower continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Mason Santini was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Mount Morris pushed their record up to 11-5 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Letchworth, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Morris will challenge the Golden Gophers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Letchworth, they will head out on the road to face off against the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Caledonia-Mumford is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
