Centennial has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Kellis Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Centennial has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Centennial scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 52-22 win over Ironwood at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Centennial has managed all season.
Akasha Prpich continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. The game was her fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kaleia Young, who scored seven points along with 14 rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, Kellis entered their tilt with Apollo with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Kellis enjoyed a cozy 58-42 victory over Apollo on Monday.
Centennial's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Kellis, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Centennial came up short against Kellis in their previous meeting back in January, falling 48-37. Can Centennial avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
