The Valley City Hi-Liners's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 64-35 win over Enderlin. The win was just what Valley City needed coming off of a 75-54 defeat in their prior contest.
When it comes to explaining why Enderlin lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jake Cimbura. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Chamberlin, who scored four points.
Valley City's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Enderlin, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Valley City and Oak Grove Lutheran will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Enderlin will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Maple Valley on January 6th.
