After a string of three wins, the Creekside Knights's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 44-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ponte Vedra. Creekside has struggled against Ponte Vedra recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Creekside saw an underclassman step up: Cami Waters dropped a double-double on 15 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brie Mccoy, who scored 6 points along with 6 rebounds.
Creekside's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Ponte Vedra, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Creekside will take on Fletcher at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ponte Vedra, they will be playing at home against Bolles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bolles knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Ponte Vedra likes a good challenge.
