Baseball Recap: St. Louis Homeschool P Wins Going Away Against Valmeyer

St. Louis HomeSchool P not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 29, 2024. Everything went their way against the Valmeyer Pirates as they made off with a 12-3 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-1 back in March.

Damien Hinze tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Wyatt Duncan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Vinny Tornatore also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

St. Louis HomeSchool P was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Valmeyer only posted a batting average of .233.

St. Louis HomeSchool P's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Valmeyer, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

The future could be bright for both St. Louis HomeSchool P and Valmeyer: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Patriots will try to hand Althoff Catholic their sixth-straight loss when the two meet at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Valmeyer will look to extend New Athens' three-game losing streak when they meet at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
