The Kelso Hilanders will head out on the road to face off against the Tumwater Thunderbirds at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, everything came up roses for Kelso on the road against Capital as the squad secured a 73-37 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Kelso.
Meanwhile, Tumwater entered their tilt with Mountain View with three consecutive wins dating back to last season but they'll enter their next game with four. Tumwater skirted past Mountain View 51-48.
Tumwater can attribute much of their success to Nolan Campbell, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds, and Clay Morgan, who scored 15 points along with five assists.
Kelso's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Tumwater, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 2-0.
Kelso suffered a grim 70-50 defeat to Tumwater when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Thankfully for Kelso, Luke Brewer (who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 34 points and 2 assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
