Meanwhile, Moreno Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 71-66 to Norte Vista.
The losing side was boosted by Jamall Thompson, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 assists. Those 11 assists set a new season-high mark for he. Another player making a difference was Zyetice Hayes, who scored 12 points.
San Jacinto now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Moreno Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
