The Central Cobras are taking a road trip to challenge the Sebring Blue Streaks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Central comes in on five and Sebring on six.
Central had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Westwood on Friday. The Cobras put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 13-6 win. With that victory, the Cobras brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.
Gabe Davids looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Charles Singletary was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Central is undefeated when Singletary posts two or more runs, but 5-7-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyleb Phinizee, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, Sebring won against IMG Academy Black on Thursday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Blue Streaks came out on top against Lake Placid by a score of 6-1.
Brody Hall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dalton Todd, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Central pushed their record up to 11-7-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Sebring, their record is now 17-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Central has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Sebring struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
