The Community Trojans lost against the Sturgeon Bulldogs back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Community took a 46-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sturgeon. Community has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Isaac Bolles was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with five rebounds and two steals for Sturgeon. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Lawson, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Community has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season. As for Sturgeon, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Community will take on Glasgow at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Community is coming into the game with six straight losses at home, meaning Glasgow will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. Sturgeon will take on New Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Sturgeon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
