Bellarmine Prep's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyla Frazier, who posted ten points in addition to six assists and five rebounds. Frazier is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Saphia Lazrak, who scored two points along with five boards and four steals.
Even though they lost, Bellarmine Prep smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.
Bellarmine Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Mountain View, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.
