Even though Valiant Cross Academy has not done well against Macon-East Montgomery Academy recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Valiant Cross Academy put the hurt on Macon-East Montgomery Academy with a sharp 54-32 victory. Given Valiant Cross Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Macon-East Montgomery Academy is ranked 315th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Evangel Christian pushed their record up to 15-2 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. Valiant Cross Academy's record now sits at 10-4.
