The Catholic - N.I. Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the Patterson Lumberjacks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Catholic - N.I. is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.4 runs per game this season.
Catholic - N.I. will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Franklin on Thursday. The Panthers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Hornets a 20-0 shutout. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.
Addisyn Derouen and Grace Hulin were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Derouen tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Hulin tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Derouen went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Hulin got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most runs Hulin has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Catholic - N.I. got a massive performance out of Paityne Simon, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those five stolen bases gave Simon a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lily Pisani, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Catholic - N.I. always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .742. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Patterson posted their closest win since March 10th on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Terrebonne 1-0.
The result came thanks to Mia Knight's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gabby Grogan, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and two stolen bases.
Catholic - N.I.'s record is now 12-6. As for Patterson, their record now sits at 14-8.
Catholic - N.I. got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Patterson by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
