On Friday, The Madison Bobcats faced the Rigby Trojans in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Madison was beaten by Rigby 42-0. Madison's defeat continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Jett Summers threw for 42 yards on two of seven attempts. Chase Crane was his top target, picking up 46 receiving yards and no touchdowns. On the ground, Austin Cottrell rushed for 42 yards.
Madison now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Rigby, their win was their fifth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 5-4.
Madison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Rigby is also done with their season.
