The Silver Stage Nighthawks were the 61-32 winner over the Sparks Railroaders when they last played one another back in December of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. Silver Stage took a 34-19 bruising from Sparks on Thursday.
Sparks found their leader in underclassman Shea Patterson, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Jacqueline Cabada, who scored 6 points.
Silver Stage's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Sparks, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Silver Stage won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Coral Academy of Science - Reno at 6:30 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Coral Academy of Science - Reno focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 46 on Thursday. As for Sparks, they will square off against North Tahoe at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (North Tahoe is ranked 43rd in California, while Sparks is ranked 59th in Nevada).
