North Oconee entered their tilt with St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 65-64 W against the Warriors. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Titans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 29th in Georgia, while the Warriors are ranked 98th in California).

North Oconee's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-4 record.

Looking ahead, North Oconee will face off against Tri-Cities at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2026. As for St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy, they will be playing at home against St. Bernard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Warriors their first taste of in-conference action this season.
