The Milford Bearcats won against the Iroquois West Raiders last Wednesday with 38 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Thursday. Milford came out on top against Iroquois West by a score of 38-27. The win made it back-to-back wins for Milford.
Hunter Mowrey was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below 11 rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kami Muehling, who scored six points.
Milford now has a winning record of 14-13. As for Iroquois West, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milford will square off against Watseka at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Watseka's defense has only allowed 27.8 points per game this season, so Milford's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Iroquois West, they will head out on the road to face off against Cissna Park at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Iroquois West is coming into the game with three straight defeats on the road, meaning Cissna Park will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
