The Elizabeth Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Marquez, falling 84-43. Elizabeth has not had much luck with the Gladiators recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Marquez's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Anthony Ford led the charge by scoring 14 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lamont White Jr, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Elizabeth's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Marquez, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.
Elizabeth will head out on the road to challenge the Toros at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Marquez, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Wolves at 4:00 p.m. Sotomayor is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
