The Walton Braves posted their biggest win since December 9, 2023 on Friday. They put the hurt on Baker with a sharp 50-30 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Walton also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Leading Walton to victory were Sophia Parker and Maleaha Johnson. Parker scored 16 points, while Johnson scored 22 points along with three steals. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kenzie Lassiter, who scored four points along with six assists and five steals.
Walton's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Baker, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walton will take on Marianna at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Baker, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Destin at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Destin is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
