Steward won the last time they faced The Covenant and things went their way on Friday too. The Steward Spartans put the hurt on The Covenant Eagles with a sharp 64-38 victory. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 26 points or more this season.
Steward's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ava Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. That's the most points Johnson has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Hali Harris, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 12 points.
Steward was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as The Covenant only posted ten assists.
