Adding to the longest winning streak in 2A District 5 this week, Indian Rocks Christian beat Cambridge Christian 56-7. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Golden Eagles.
Indian Rocks Christian took down the Lancers 56-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Damian King ran for 207 yards and caught 3 passes for 55 yards during the win.
Taylor King threw for 249 yards and 4 touchdowns. He was 5-7 with 1 interception.
King put up the best numbers in passing as Carrollwood Day beat Bradenton Christian. King's favorite target this week was Michael Smith, who caught 3 passes for 138 yards.
Carrollwood Day's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Patriots feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. King has thrown for 1,508 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, while Smith has 32 catches for 815 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Cambridge Christian takes on the Patriots. Bob Dare's team is in fourth place, while Carrollwood Day is in third place.
