Basketball Recap: Bucklin Sets Scoring Season-High Against Ingalls

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bucklin). They took down the Ingalls Bulldogs 61-47 on Saturday. The Red Aces have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Langston Nothern, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 13 points. Nothern also posted a block, marking his first of the season. Logan Simon was another key player, putting up seven points.

Bucklin's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-6-2 and their overall record up to 4-9-2. As for Ingalls, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Bucklin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-33 victory against Pawnee Heights on the 4th. Ingalls has also already played their next game, a 51-39 win against Minneola on the 4th.
