After four games on the road, Richwood is heading back home. They will take on the Highland Rams at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Richwood is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Highland in their respective states (Richwood is ranked 123rd in West Virginia, while Highland is ranked 376th in Virginia).
Last Monday, things could have been worse for Richwood, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-37 loss to Gilmer County.
Despite the defeat, Richwood saw an underclassman step up: Christian Griffith scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Griffith has scored all season. Grant Russell was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Even though Highland has not done well against Craig County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Highland came out on top against Craig County by a score of 53-43.
Richwood's defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Highland, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.
