Norris has gone 8-1 against Wahoo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Titans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Norris took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Standing Bear with a sharp 12-4 victory. The Titans not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 6th (when they won 8-0).
Norris got a great performance from Embrie Bednar as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Myra Carlow, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Keelyn Yelkin, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Norris always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. The last time their OBP was this high was back in September.
Meanwhile, Wahoo never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past Platteview 8-0. Considering the Warriors have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Karryn Eddie was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Wesely, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Norris pushed their record up to 19-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Wahoo, their win bumped their record up to 16-10.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Norris hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like Wahoo struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Norris took their victory against Wahoo when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 11-2 score. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
