The Crossroads Christian Warriors struggled with assists on Thursday (the Bethel Christian Kings had 22 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Crossroads Christian was dealt a 66-37 loss at the hands of the Kings. Crossroads Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Loss or not, Crossroads Christian got some senior leadership from Jacob Faldas and Dean MacRitchie. Faldas scored 18 points along with five rebounds, while MacRitchie. scored eight points along with 13 rebounds. That was a full 48.6% of Crossroads Christian's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Andre Farraj, who scored five points.
Bethel Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordyn Frazier-Mathews out in front who almost dropped a triple-double on 14 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists. Chris Lahham was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds.
Crossroads Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Bethel Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crossroads Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Bears at 2:45 p.m. on January 26th. One thing working in Packinghouse Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games. As for Bethel Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Titans at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Notre Dame is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 67.8 points per game this season.
