The McClatchy Lions will head out to square off against the Antelope Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
McClatchy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Grant on Thursday. The Lions blew past the Pacers 11-4.

Lily Arbizo made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI.
In other batting news, Jayeliza Rogers was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in May of 2024. Juliana Hafar also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
McClatchy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Antelope gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Cordova as they made off with a 17-6 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Titans considering their two-run performance the match before.
Mary Jimenez was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Alivia Page was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
McClatchy pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Antelope, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season.
Antelope's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. McClatchy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Antelope, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.1 strikeouts. Will McClatchy keep running through batters, or will the Titans buck the trend?
Everything went McClatchy's way against Antelope when the teams last played back in April, as McClatchy made off with a 7-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
