It was a good run, but the Rock Canyon Jaguars unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 67-54 to Mountain Vista. Rock Canyon was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Macoy Terry, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Hudson Ellwood was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Mountain Vista's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Oliver Junker, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. Junker is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cal Baskind, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
Rock Canyon's defeat ended a 15-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-4. As for Mountain Vista, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Ponderosa is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
