The Tekoa-Rosalia Timberwolves were the 76-60 winner over the Soap Lake Eagles when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Tekoa-Rosalia was dealt a 92-61 loss at the hands of Soap Lake on Friday. While losing is never fun, Tekoa-Rosalia can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Soap Lake is ranked second).
Despite the loss, Tekoa-Rosalia still got an impressive performance from Isaac Bone, who scored 25 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Bone scored a full 41% of Tekoa-Rosalia's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Vanden Allen was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 6 rebounds.
Tekoa-Rosalia's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Soap Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tekoa-Rosalia will take on Columbia at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Soap Lake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rosalia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
