The Quincy Notre Dame Raiders are taking a road trip to take on the Hamilton/Warsaw Titans at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Quincy Notre Dame is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
Quincy Notre Dame barely beat Augusta Southeastern the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Raiders blew past the Suns 12-2 on Wednesday. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Suns recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Ty Meyer tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, Quincy Notre Dame got a massive performance out of Abram Wiewel, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Eli Johnson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Hamilton/Warsaw was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Illini West, falling 10-0.
Quincy Notre Dame pushed their record up to 17-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Hamilton/Warsaw, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.
Quincy Notre Dame came out on top in a nail-biter against Hamilton/Warsaw when the teams last played back in May of 2021, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
