Caribou came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 105-38 victory over the Houlton Shiretowners. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 23 points or more this season.

Caribou pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.6 points per game. As for Houlton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caribou will welcome Ellsworth at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Ellsworth will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Caribou surely won't give up without a fight. As for Houlton, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fort Fairfield at 7:00 p.m. on February 3rd.
