The Hokes Bluff Eagles's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Rockmart Yellowjackets at 1:30 p.m. on December 27th. Hokes Bluff will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 225th in Alabama, while Rockmart is ranked 60th in Georgia).
Last Thursday, Hokes Bluff came up short against Locust Fork and fell 63-53.
Meanwhile, Rockmart put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Haralson County 94-32 at home. Considering Rockmart has won five matchups by more than 24 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Samuel Johnson and Treylin Davis were among the main playmakers for Rockmart as the former scored 24 points along with five assists and the latter scored 27 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. The matchup was Davis' ninth in a row with at least ten points. Trey Luke was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.
Hokes Bluff's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Rockmart, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-0.
