Kimberly got themselves on the board against Kaukauna on Tuesday, but Kaukauna never followed suit. They came out on top against the Galloping Ghosts by a score of 4-0. Winning may never get old, but the Papermakers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Kimberly's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Connor Olson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base marked the first that Olson has snagged this season. Another was Jack Anzelmo, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Kimberly's victory bumped their record up to 6-2-1. As for Kaukauna, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Kimberly will square off against rival Oshkosh North at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Kaukauna is set to face off against their familiar foe Appleton East at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
