Mica Mountain's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayley Sutton, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ceraya Grace-Bandy, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Hamilton waltzed into their contest last Friday with five straight wins but they left with six. They blew past Perry 63-34 at home. Hamilton has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 24 points or more this season.
Hamilton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Callie Hinder led the charge by scoring 12 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Reanna Farrington, who scored six points along with six assists and four steals.
Mica Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. As for Hamilton, they pushed their record up to 20-5 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Mica Mountain have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 35.6 rebounds per game.
