After losing to Owen-Withee the last time they met, Thorp decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 19-1 margin over the Blackhawks on Monday. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by ten runs or more this season.

Thorp's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games. As for Owen-Withee, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Thorp didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Elk Mound on the 15th. As for Owen-Withee, they have also already played their next matchup, a 24-3 defeat against Bloomer on the 17th.
